Following on from a full rooms refurbishment, the Grouse and Claret reopened in Spring 2008 as a Marstons Inn. The pub itself is a beautiful 18th century building and offers 8 en-suite rooms within the building, decorated to a high standard and offering tea and coffee making facilities, flatscreen digital TVs with over 40 channels, luxurious bedding and free wi-fi in the rooms. Our superb breakfast is always complimentary to our guests and includes a range of cooked options as well as a continental offer.The Grouse and Claret is located at the gateway to the Peak District National Park on the A6 between Matlock and Bakewell. The location makes it an ideal base for tourists exploring the region and is also a convenient base for business travellers, being within easy reach of Chesterfield, Sheffield, Derby and Manchester are easily accessible from the Grouse and Claret.The heart and soul of the hotel remains the pub itself and you can be sure to find something to tempt you from our extensive menu which is available all day. Our selection of hot meals include pub classics as well as a constantly changing selection of specials. We have a range of specially selected wines along with cask ales and a choice of soft drinks, tea and coffee.

Free WiFi access may be available throughout the hotel or only in certain areas, such as reception or the bar, or only in some of the bedrooms - where we're aware of restrictions we've shown this.
