Dating back to 1858 this City Centre grade II listed building has an amazing detailed balconied stairway throughout the building. All 363 bedrooms have recently been tastefully decorated and all furnished with TV, Hairdryer, Trouser Press and Tea and Coffee making facilities. There are some rooms that do not have a window but most of these have skylights and are air-conditioned, ideal for the budget conscious! The hotel also boasts three great restaurants that include Jennys Restaurant, with its excellent value for money 3-course Carvery Lunch and Dinner, and The Overstuffed Pizzeria, with a varied selection of Italian Dishes and lighter meals in bright surroundings. In addition, there is also Cromptons restaurant, which offers an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. This restaurant prides itself on providing excellent service and a wide selection of international dishes served in elegant surroundings. The menu is inspired by the finest flavours from around the world and offers an extensive choice at very reasonable prices. The Britannia Hotel Manchester also offers four bars, Cromptons being the residents bar, Jennys serving the restaurant, the vibrant Waves Bar (open till late for residents and non-residents) and Bar Rogue, a popular Nightclub in the city centre. There are nine first-class Conference rooms available for any occasion and cater for up to 200 people. WIFI is free to all guests and is available throughout the building. Car parking is avaible at a local NCP Multi storey, where guests receive a 20% discount, however we do offer Valet parking at a small charge. Hotels have been included in this directory based on information provided by the hotels themselves. This is subject to change and equipment or connections can fail so if access is critical for your stay then you should check first with the hotel.
Free WiFi access may be available throughout the hotel or only in certain areas, such as reception or the bar, or only in some of the bedrooms - where we're aware of restrictions we've shown this. Sometimes the restrictions on rooms is 'physical', that is the WiFi access just doesn't 'reach' that far (WiFi signals are easily blocked by stone, brick and concrete walls), or sometimes hotels only give free access to their more expensive rooms.
